Use of a charging pump (particularly the Laddomat versions), provides three key advantages. The Laddomat has an internal thermostat and re-circulates hot water around the boiler during warm-up, idling and end of cycle operation. Thermostats are available with a range of opening temperatures that determine the temperature at which the Laddomat pump opens and begins charging the accumulator tank. This prevents cool water returning directly to the boiler from the base of the accumulator and avoids condensation (that can cause boiler corrosion) on surfaces of the boiler.
