Cleaver Brooks 60 Hp 2511000 Btu Natural Gas Boiler Bl2023 Hi, I have a Baxi Solo 2 50PF, GC No 41-077-73. Two weeks ago it developed the following fault. On ignition the boiler fires as normal, within seconds there is an electrical buzzing noise from the gas valve (sounds to be the right hand relay) while the noise is present the main burner flame decreases in intensity sometimes to the point of going out. the pilot remains alight and the burner light stays on. This sequence may repeat several times before the boiler works normally. Initially i cleaned the main burner area, of debris which had dropped down from the heat exchanger. (this is in poor condition). The problem went away for four days and then returned. I then checked the connections to the various sensors. the fan connector block is very brittle, so i left it alone. (I'm on the lookout for a ceramic connector block as a replacement). The problem has just reoccured after three days running ok. Could the problem be a sensor or poor connection rather than the gas vave itself. Once the boiler has fired and warmed up it works fine until required to fire up from cold. any help is greatly appreciated. Regards Graham7516.
