The calculator does take account of the total size of the house you enter the depth front to back and it will work out a roof loss even though a mid terrace would have a zero number of party walls losing heat according to their method. If you mistakenly put in zero depth ( thinking depth doesn't matter as you have no heat loss through the party walls ) it will happily work out a final result with zero roof loss which is an oversight I think.
